The Moving General is based at our Long Island City yard, and our trucks cross into all five boroughs most weeks: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island, plus the close-in Tri-State towns that share the same commute. Sal Ferraro dispatches every crew with the bridge and tunnel schedule already factored in, so a run over the Verrazzano-Narrows or through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel doesn’t blow the arrival window.
Below are the five metro areas we book most often, each with its own building quirks: walk-up staircases in Brooklyn brownstones, doorman buildings on the Upper East Side, freight-elevator windows in Jersey City high-rises. Denise Falco pre-clears co-op and condo board paperwork wherever it’s required, before crew day — not the morning of.
